How did you end up playing in Catatonic: I created the damn thing. An abomination of nature in its true erm.. nature. But you learn to appreciate even the worst things in life.

Future visions: Well we are going to do a lot of new albums and destroy the world of metal as you know it. Then we are gonna rule the freakin universe and.. Well in more realistic plan - a new album. How did you end up playing in Catatonic: Well... i suppose this mustbe a hard question...The group had no guitarist and i can play the guitar. So one day the frontman Catatonic came to me with the question if I could record the guitars for the EP "Nine Heroes" and I said "Yes"...
Favourite CS song: FINAL ENCOUNTER!!! This is my favourite CS song and i just love to play it live! Holy Crusade too... And I just love the demo Kampong...Tension is a total hit too...
Favourite bands: Rhapsody, Manowar, Blind Guardian... and all Tolkien-related bands! Tolkien is my inspiration and for the entire band too.

Future visions: The group is gonna take over the music world with a brand new progressive fusion style and chicks will get mad on the keyboards guy with the vintage soloes. whom am i kidding?! we're gonna die in tremendous pain for the super-sick music we make. Amen.

Biography:

Long before the forming of the band the mastermind behind it made attempts of creating unique style of music that combines psychotic vocals and emotionally moving sound. The first musical experiments are in 2001-2 and actually represent rage and rain of insults towards a specific person - no more explanation is needed - just an example song tells it all - "Chocho is a pig". In 2004 however, the world is shaken by the first 2 demos of the band - Kampong (which translates as Malayisan village), and the conceptual work based on Lord Of The Rings - Hobbits Needs. After the great reviews and feedback comes the first LP album Tension. Followed closely by the single Nine Heroes where we meet the new guitarist Z.Zdravsteen for the first time! Many people say that his name derives from the fact that he enjoys too much Teen XXX movies, but that though true, is not why he is called ZdravsTeen. It is also true that he dresses like THAT (click to see) - BUT - his name should only be connected to the great guitar mastermind Yngwie Malmsteen. After the single followed a new album with the sweet name WE KILL ! What can be said about it ? Download it and see for yourself! There the genious of Catatonic bursts in a new way moreover the album is recorded solely by him. A strange mix influenced heavily by folk viking metal. This album produced one of the greatest Catatonic songs ever - Imeprial Rage.

But time has come, to turn things around towards something greater and more valuable! Just a month after the latest studio release a new hellborn is here - made by 5 insane individuals- CRUSADER KINGS! Something unheard and unseen till now! A new step in the band's development. For the frist time - conceptual story, real lyrics, real covers and a lot of more epic suprises! Download this epic album and get in tune with CS once and for all!

In 2006 the band was set out to release a 2 CD epos - a metal opera of great proportions. The minds behind this idea were Catatonic and Spacerunner - as the latter wrote the whole story. However certain differences between the two imposed the need of Space's departure - thus CS lost both its narrator and greatly acclaimed reviewer. The metal opera project was cancelled as it would've been unfair to the writer not taking part of it.

Catatonic Schizophrenia started working on a new album for 2006 with new forces. The ranks were joined by the Mustaine-like prodigy Ricardo Ferreira from Portugal, who willingly agreed to assist the band in these dark days. A new reviewer was found in the face of Lancelot - soon you will be able to enjoy his top-notch comments on the greatest catatonic songs!
